On this adventure, experience the beauty of the UK’s famous Lake District, a designated National Park! Aside from its postcard tranquility, the area is also very famous for providing inspiration for some of history’s most famous poets.

Explore the park’s beauty up close with some hiking in the fells, and mountain biking (for all levels)! This trip is filled with adventure, beautiful landscapes, and tranquil surroundings.

This trip runs April 25th-28th, 2018 prior to the Bain Worldwide Partner Meeting. Join this small group trip, exclusively for Bain Partners and their families.

Today we take on one of the lake district’s most iconic peaks and high mountain walks, Scafell Pike at 3209 ft! Total hiking time will be 5 hrs, covering a distance of 15km.

After breakfast meet your outdoor guides in the hotel reception for a short briefing on the day ahead. Once prepared we make the short transfer to Seathwaite and set off on a circular hike. Today’s hiking adventure includes conquering one of England’s most iconic fells (or peaks), breathtaking views across the Lake District National Park and its dramatic glacial landscape, and even some unexpected cultural sites. We finish our hike with a celebratory “pint” at a popular hiker’s bar in Rosthwaite before returning to our hotel to freshen up before dinner and some relaxation time.

Please note: today’s hike will be tailored by guide according to group’s ability and may include an alternative peak in same area if Scafell Pike is not suitable.

Meet your guides after breakfast and transfer north to Whinlatter Forest Park via Keswick. After a bike fitting, we hit the spectacular mountain bike trails here under the leadership of your qualified mountain bike guides. There are various grades and lengths of trail here – from blue (easy) to red (intermediate/ difficult). Your guides will tailor the experience accordingly. Depending on the trail you take, total mountain biking time will be 2-3 hours, and distance will be 7.5-19km.

After a morning’s ride we gather for a well-earned lunch at the local bike cafe.

This afternoon we then enjoy a tour and tasting at the acclaimed Lakes Distillery in Bassenthwaite before returning to our hotel early evening for dinner and overnight stay.
